We believe that an informed homeowner is a safe homeowner. The more we understand about our home’s electrical health, the better prepared we are to spot potential hazards.
Caring For Your Home’s Exterior Electrical Equipment
Your home’s exterior electrical equipment consists of the exterior meter socket (meter box), your exterior shit off switch (if applicable) and any exposed conductors, whether encased in conduit or sheathed in weather & UV-resistant material. This system is designed to be installed in “wet locations” but overtime, like most things, the weather can take its toll on these items, leaving them rusted & corroded. When you find your exterior equipment in this state, it’s time to replace it.
